14.
It has been a very long time I desired to leave
the Phiri family history for posterity.
15.
I think the time is ripe as of this 21st
April 2014
16.
I will appreciate commentary on this new,
tri-lingual blog (Siswati, Kiswahili and English). Above all I will always find invaluable any
proffered along the betterment of whatever I have in print in the two languages
I never had the opportunity of speaking as a mother tongue, let alone a chance
to study them (Siswati and Kiswahili Languages) at school.
17.
Indeed, the closest I have come to to those two
languages was my comparatively very thorough acquaintance with the Zulu
Language of South Africa: IsiZulu is a sister language to Kiswahili and, quite
particularly, if some 90% similarity in my view, to the Siswati more properly
spoken in the Kingdom of Swaziland (rather than in my motherland the South
Africa where the language tends in my view to meander between the Tsonga and
the Zulu cohabiting its local ‘geospeak’).
18.
However, when every t has been crossed and i
dotted by all linguistic fundis for my my blog, I wish to see posterity living
as a Phiri relative knowing fully and clearly how things became what it is
today (Year 2015, Year 2115, Year Year 2215…to eternity).
19.
“Why?” you ask.
20.
I say: “For, if in the beginning there was the
word, surely in the end will be the word!”
